PM visits Regenatec
As part of his lecture tour looking into science the Prime Minister visited Regenatec. The Prime Minister was in the region partly because Oxfordshire has the largest concentration of research and development activity in Western Europe. The Prime Minister was very impressed with what Regenatec has achieved and was surprised to learn that if all HGVs, buses and light goods vehicles in the UK converted to pure plant oil biofuel technology the government could more than meet its Kyoto targets by cutting over nine million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year.
