What is Regenatec Pure Plant Oil (PPO) Biofuel?

Our biofuel is a technical grade pure plant oil, based on the German DIN51605 for rape oil as a fuel. As a result of our extensive biofuels research programme with our academic and commercial partners, we have enhanced the DIN specification to encompass variety of commercially available commodity oils.

Unlike ordinary mineral diesel or biodiesel (i.e. chemically processed vegetable oil), our RG179 biofuel is processed as little as possible to ensure compliance. Consistent with EN590 diesel and blended biodiesels, a very small percentage of additives are used when required to ensure cetane levels, combustion stability and detergency requirements are met.

Regenatec's RG179 PPO is recognized under HMRC Notice 179E, and is supplied in commercial quantities duty paid anywhere in the UK at the reduced duty rate fuel for biofuels.
